AppleFiber is a vegan, sustainable leather alternative made from the leftover apple pomace – peels, cores, and pulp – produced by the apple juice industries.
A biosource material, ecological and 100% vegan.
Apple peel is part of the surplus byproduct from the food industry in South Tyrol, northern Italy. The recovered peel is dried and ground into powder. A company in Florence processes this into ApplePeel, our vegan leather alternative coated with a cotton base.
We live in a world where resources are becoming scarcer by the day. Time for a change. Time for ApplePeel.
If your product comes into contact with rain or other liquids, it’s not a big deal. Gently wipe away any excess moisture with a clean cloth. Let it dry, away from sunlight. ApplePeel is durable and quite resistant to water and wear and tear.
Rub in a non-coloring conditioner with a soft cloth to restore softness and depth to your product. Options made with only natural ingredients are best.
Use a damp cloth to remove stains. For stubborn stains, you can use a high-quality, mild all-purpose fabric cleaner. Avoid detergents or bleaching agents, however.
Organic cotton is produced according to ecological farming guidelines. Unlike conventional cotton farming, the use of chemical pesticides and fertilizers is prohibited.
The highest quality in workmanship is important to us. Therefore, our products are equipped with only the best zippers. This is one of the weak points in many leather goods. The zippers don’t open and close smoothly and are therefore not durable enough.
Another environmentally friendly choice: our packaging is made from at least 90% recycled material and is fully recyclable. It was manufactured in our neighboring country.
